Episode IV - The Day of Blood

SCENE ONE
Steel City, USA, Earth, 2005
Nothing more than an industrialist wasteland, Steel City has a foul 
odour and its' buildings are utilitarian.
WILLY lands on one of the dark streets from the lengthy travel through 
time, and collapses unconcious. A ginger-haired BOY walks out of a taco 
house and notices WILLY. THE BOY wears a dark-red suit with a black 
eyemask.

BOY: (Middle-pitched voice) You OK, kid?

WILLY groans, but doesn't come round. THE BOY picks up WILLY and drags 
him along the street.

SCENE TWO
The Graham Institute, Genus, 3226
DOGSTAR and JENNY are examining the console while BUCKY, FLEET ADMIRAL 
RYGAR BLADE and DEADEYE converse.

RYGAR: (Ponders) I just don't understand it. Frankenstoat was about to 
be pardoned for some cases against him and he runs off.

BUCKY: It could be that he had this planned; as though he was planning 
on kidnapping Willy in the first place.

RYGAR: Maybe, but according to Dogstar, the original plan was to 
massacre the Institute by letting loose a dinosaur.

DEADEYE: If that guy thinks a dinosaur is tough, then things'll be 
worse when he see's what I've got fer 'im if he harms Willy!

DOGSTAR: (Looks up) It's no good. That box-thing was designed to make 
the Manipulator a one-way trip; it's useless to us now.

RYGAR: Then there's nothing for it. Bucky, get the Righteous ready.

BUCKY salutes, and JENNY and DEADEYE follow him out.

SCENE THREE
Titans Tower, Steel City, 2005
WILLY slowly awakens and finds himself lying on a sofa inside what 
seems to be Titans Tower. Feeling his forehead, he finds a wet flannel 
on it. 

WILLY: (Moans) What happened?

Suddenly, two DWARFS dressed in matching white suits run up to him. 
Both are holding hands, wearing yellow visors, and speaking rapidly in 
Spanish.

DWARFS: (Double-speed) Hola, invitado! Senor Speedy fundar en el calle!

WILLY jerks back in surprise and falls off the sofa. He is suddenly 
helped up by a black-skinned GIRL in a black-and-yellow striped shirt 
with black boots. Her black hair is fashioned into two baubles, and she 
wears red lipstick.

GIRL: (Light, Carribean Accent) No need to be scared of them, they're 
just saying "hi". 

WILLY: Yeah, err...where am I?

GIRL: Maybe we should start from the top. (Shakes Willys' hand) I'm 
Bumblebee, and these are Mas and Menos.

She points to the DWARVES, who just wave lightly.

BUMBLEBEE: And this is Titans Tower, Steel City. 

WILLY: So, you're the Teen Titans?

BUMBLEBEE: Teen Titans East, and over there's the guy who rescued you, 
Speedy.

She points to the ginger-haired BOY sitting nearby, eating tacos. 

SPEEDY: (Shouts) Aqualad! I got dinner!

From a nearby swimming pool comes AQUALAD, a fair-skinned boy with long, 
black hair, completely black eyes and a blue suit.

AQUALAD: (High-pitched) Tacos again?! Why is it every time you get food, 
it's always a friend of mine on the menu?!

SPEEDY: If you don't like it, get your own dinner!

BUMBLEBEE: (To Willy) So, what's your name, hon?

WILLY: Well, W...Willy, Miss Bumblebee. 

BUMBLEBEE: Nah, it's just Bumblebee. So, Willy, just tell me how you 
got here.

WILLY: You won't believe me when I tell you.

BUMBLEBEE: After what I've seen, I'll believe anything!

WILLY: (Mumbles) I don't know how exactly I got here, but barely a few 
hours ago, I was in another universe, and the next moment, I'm here.

BUMBLEBEE: Go on, what else can you remember before you got here?

WILLY: Well, this mad scientist, Frankenstoat, just started up the time 
machine, and then everything else is a blank.

WILLY suddenly dodges a glowing, yellow arrow that misses his head by 
an inch. Looking over, he notices SPEEDY and AQUALAD fighting.

BUMBLEBEE: Just a second, sugar.

BUMBLEBEE suddenly shrinks to the size of an insect and flies over to 
the two boys with the aid of wings on her back. Unseen to WILLY, 
BUMBLEBEE pulls out two small pistols and stings AQUALAD and SPEEDY. 
The two break up, and BUMBLEBEE returns to normal size.

BUMBLEBEE: (Shouts) We have a guest to the Tower, and you two are just 
acting like a pair of kids!

SPEEDY: Well, we are kids, aren't we?

BUMBLEBEE: Quit foolin' around! D'you wanna show yourselves up?

AQUALAD rubs his stings and walks up to WILLY, offering a handshake.

AQUALAD: (Politely) Sorry, we just get carried away sometimes. I'm 
Aqualad.

WILLY: (Shakes his hand) Willy, Willy DuWitt. 

SPEEDY: So, Willy, any reason why you were sleeping in the street?

WILLY: I...I can't remember anything about a street.

BUMBLEBEE: It's OK, Willy. You've told me, and now I think you'd better 
rest yourself.

MAS Y MENOS hold each others hand and rummage through a nearby cupboard.

WILLY: Any reason why they keep holding hands?

AQUALAD: They both have super-speed, but they have to be touching if 
they want to go fast.

MAS Y MENOS return with a games console with the words "GS 2" embossed 
on it.

MAS Y MENOS: Senor Willy, querer para jugar Game-Station 2?

WILLY: Sure, if you like.

MAS Y MENOS lead WILLY out of the room, while SPEEDY and AQUALAD resume 
their arguement.

AQUALAD: How would you like it if someone ate your best friend?

SPEEDY: It would only bother me if they tried to mess up my hair!

A loud crash is heard as AQUALAD and SPEEDY fall into the pool. 
BUMBLEBEE is suddenly covered in water.

BUMBLEBEE: (Shouts) Speedy!

SCENE FOUR
Space, The Universe
The Righteous Indignation emerges from a black-hole into the correct 
time-zone.

BUCKY: (Into radio) Thank you, Genus Control, we should be fine from 
here on in, out.

He severs the radio link, and JENNY plots a course.

JENNY: The biopatterns become distorted here; my guess is that Willy 
and Frankenstoat got seperated on re-entry. Now, we have to figure out 
how to land without kicking up a fuss.

BUCKY types into a computer and some information comes up.

BUCKY: (Reading information) Steel City is surrounded by sea that is 
mostly desolate, not many shipping lanes. If we prepare the Righteous 
for a water-landing and use the Croaker to head to shore, we should 
sneak in with no trouble.

As they enter the Earths' atmosphere, an inflatable raft appears from 
the undercarriage and surrounds the hull. 

IN A DARK ROOM SOMEWHERE ON EARTH...
What the crew of the Righteous are unaware of is that they are being 
watched on a giant TV screen by FRANKENSTOAT and a thin-faced FIGURE, 
claoked in darkness. The FIGURE has a single red eye-sensor, and his 
hair fashioned into an unusual shape.

FRANKENSTOAT: What did I tell you, master? Have I done well?

FIGURE: (Deep, sly voice) Yes, dear Doctor. After so many years away 
from me, you seem to have unearthed more than I'll ever need to know. 
With the knowledge you have given me, I will have an endless supply of 
students.

SCENE FIVE
Titans Tower, Steel City, USA
The next morning, WILLY wakes up and sits up on the sofa, where he has 
slept all last night. The others haven't woken up yet, but there is 
still the rubbish left over from the night before.

WILLY: (To himself) I thought MY room was messy!

He rummages through a nearby cupboard, and finds the vacuum cleaner 
literally covered in cobwebs. Plugging it in, WILLY sets to work 
cleaning the lounge until it is spic and span. The noise arouses 
AQUALAD, who was asleep in the pool.

AQUALAD: (Sleepily) What, the...? 

He suddenly notices how clean the lounge is, and clambers out of the 
pool.

AQUALAD: Woah! Gee, Willy! You sure know how to clean a place! I 
haven't seen the lounge like this since Cyborg was here!

WILLY: Well, I kinda felt guilty about how Speedy trashed everything 
last night, so I thought I'd make it up.

AQUALAD: I wouldn't worry, Speedy wouldn't clean up even you gave him 
$1 million.

BUMBLEBEE runs in.

AQUALAD: (To Bumblebee) Whats' the trouble?

BUMBLEBEE: Bloods' back, and he has a new friend!

WILLY: Blood? Who's Blood?

AQUALAD types a few keys on the computer and a picture of a thin-faced 
MAN appears. His skull is partially cybernetic, with red circuitory and 
a single red eye-sensor. 

AQUALAD: (Serious tone) Brother Blood, leader of the HIVE Academy. 

BUMBLEBEE: The HIVE was a high-school for wannabe villains who Blood 
brainwashed.

AQUALAD: Blood then tried to relocate the Academy in Steel City, but we 
took him down.

BUMBLEBEE: And now he's out, we have to find out what he's planning. 
C'mon! Get Speedy and the twins, Aqualad.

AQUALAD nods and runs off. BUMBLEBEE notices WILLYS' shy look.

BUMBLEBEE: Why don't you come with us?

WILLY: (Surprised) Really? Can I?

BUMBLEBEE: Sure, sweety! Can't have you on your own if Blood attacks 
the Tower, can I?

She takes him by the hand and leads him out, much to the embarrasment 
of WILLY.

SCENE SIX
Steel City Harbour
The Toad Croaker has docked in the grotty harbour, along with BUCKY, 
JENNY and DEADEYE. They all get out and look around.

DEADEYE: (Grumbles) Not exactly the first place I be wantin' to come on 
vacation!

BUCKY: Cool it, Deadeye! We have to find Willy and get out of here 
before anyone sees us. You stay here and guard the Croaker!

DEADEYE: Oh, sure! Let ol' Deadeye have all o' the boring jobs!

He stays at the Croaker while BUCKY and JENNY search the wharf. 

JENNY: (Calls) Willy! Willy?

The two are suddenly snatched by FRANKENSTOAT with an energized fishing 
net, and out of the shadows steps BROTHER BLOOD. He looks down at BUCKY 
and JENNY and smiles.

BLOOD: (Deep, sly voice) Ah, Captain O' Hare at long last! I've heard 
so much about you!

BUCKY: (Snarls) Who are you, and what do you want?

BLOOD: I am Blood, Brother Blood, at your service. Prof. Chang has told 
me much about your time with the Titans, as well as your feline friend, 
Kinjite.

FRANKENSTOAT: I told you about them, too!

BLOOD: But of course! It was you who told me about this Aniverse of 
theirs.

BUCKY: What has Frankenstoat to do with you?

BLOOD: Why, didn't he tell you? He has been an agent of mine since he 
came to Earth as Gammaximus Alpha. Since then, I have found the perfect 
place for my new HIVE Academy...the HQ of the United Animals Coalition.

JENNY: You wouldn't dare!

BLOOD: (Scoffs) Wouldn't I?

His organic eye glows a deep red, in turn paralyzing BUCKY and JENNY as 
their eyes turn the same colour.

BLOOD: You see, my dear, Captain, that is why I am not going to fight. 
I wanted someone who was able to pilot my new private spacecraft when I 
begin enroling my students.

FRANKENSTOAT: Don't forget our promise, Brother!

BLOOD: (Evilly) What promise?

FRANKENSTOAT: (Stammers tiidly) B...But you said...

BLOOD: If there was one thing you should've learnt by now, my dear 
Doctor is this...

A beam of scarlet energy shoots from his semi-robotic hands, but 
FRANKENSTOAT quickly dodges it.

BLOOD: (Roars) ...NO-ONE COMMANDS BROTHER BLOOD!

FRANKENSTOAT pulls out another vial of fluid, and looks at BLOOD with 
pure hatred in his eyes. He slams the vial to the floor and disappears. 
BROTHER BLOOD calms down and looks down at the hypnotized BUCKY.

BLOOD: Now, listen carefully, Captain O' Hare, I have a job for you.

BUCKY: (In a trance) Yes...headmaster...your...wish is my...command...

A WHILE LATER...
BUMBLEBEE, SPEEDY and WILLY all meet up at a part of the harbour, 
having come from three different junctions.

BUMBLEBEE: Find anything, boys?

SPEEDY: I found bumpkiss; it's probably another decoy.

WILLY: I've got nothing either.

BUMBLEBEE: We'll wait for Aqualad, Mas and Menos before we try again.

MAS Y MENOS speed towards them and screech to a halt just short of 
SPEEDY.

MAS Y MENOS: (In unison) Nosotros fundar nada. 

SPEEDY: (To Mas Y Menos) Wheres' Aqualad?

The twins look at each other and look dumbly at SPEEDY.

WILLY: But I thought he went with you (!)

MAS Y MENOS: El estas, pero as ponerse seperado.

SPEEDY: Great! Now we have to find him again!

WILLY: (Stammers) Y..You don't think he's still sore about that taco 
thing last night?

SPEEDY: Ah, come on! We eat an animal, an animal eats us! That's the 
circle of life, kid! Aqualad has to get used to it!

BUMBLEBEE: Enough! Now come on! We have to find Aqualad and take down 
Blood!

The outline of AQUALAD appears in the shadows, standing perfectly still.

MAS Y MENOS: Aqualad! As estas esta bien!

AQUALAD doesn't move, but a coil of energized rope suddenly whips 
around SPEEDY and BUMBLEBEE. MAS Y MENOS and WILLY are able to dodge 
this however.

BUMBLEBEE: (Strains) What gives? I can't shrink!

They are soon tied up, and the hypnotized BUCKY and JENNY leap down, 
holding the two ends of rope. AQUALAD steps forward, and his reddish 
eyes show that he has been hypnotized.

SPEEDY: (Shocked) Aqualad! Come on, snap out of it!

AQUALAD: (Hypnotized) There is no need to defy the headmaster.

Not too far away, WILLY and MAS Y MENOS are hiding behind a pile of 
crates. WILLY listens carefully to what is going on.

BUCKY: The others have escaped; we must detain them for the headmaster.

WILLY: (Whispers) OK, I don't know a lot of Spanish, but can you help 
me out here, mi amigos?

MAS Y MENOS: (Loudly) Sencillo! As ocultarse!

AQUALAD, BUCKY and JENNY all hear the shouting and walk towards the 
crates.

WILLY: Nice going!

JENNY fires some magic at the crates, causing them to pile on MENOS. 
While WILLY runs off, MAS stops to help his brother.

MENOS: (Cries out) Mas!

MAS: Menos!

MAS runs back to free his twin, but the pair are grabbed by BUCKY and 
AQUALAD and held tightly as BROTHER BLOOD appears from the shadows.

BLOOD: Good job, my students. Well done!

BUMBLEBEE: Alright, chrome-dome, what are your plans, now?

BLOOD: (Calmly) Quite simple, my dear. I have had the good fortune of 
discovering a universe torn by war, and with their leaders blinded by 
chaos, I can simply gain control myself.

SPEEDY: By enlisting in the army?

BLOOD: No, my ego-fuelled friend, I mean that I shall have their 
politicians enlist as my students, and work my way out to the other 
planets.

BUMBLEBEE: So, if you're so great, what do you need us for?

BLOOD: (Kneels down to face her) Quite simple, my dear. If I am going 
to have a large school, then I will need prefects to keep them in line!

His eyes glow red again, and SPEEDY is immediately hypnotized along 
with MAS Y MENOS. BUMBLEBEE tries to resist, but eventually falls under 
BLOODS' spell.

SCENE SEVEN
Titans Tower, Steel City
WILLY arrives in the lounge and rests to think of his next action. 
BUMBLEBEE appears behind him, but her eyes have returned to normal, and 
she clings onto him.

BUMBLEBEE: (Sniffs) Willy, I'm glad you're OK!

WILLY: Err, Bumblebee? How did you get away from Blood?

BUMBLEBEE: Never mind that now, sugar! I'm just glad you're safe!

WILLY notices that she is slowly pulling her pistols from their 
holsters, and shoves her away from him. Instantly, her eyes glow 
reddish.

WILLY: Come on, Bumblebee! I know you're in there! You know this is 
wrong!

BUMBLEBEE remains in a trance. BROTHER BLOOD appears from the shadows.

BLOOD: So, you're the famed Engineer DuWitt. Fascinating, one of the 
few teenage geniuses in the world.

WILLY: What do you want with Bumblebee? Why don't you leave her alone?

BLOOD: I'm sorry, but I have a score to settle with her, and I don't 
intend to let the opportunity slip.

WILLY: Then let ME take her place! You let her go, and you get me.

BLOOD: (Smiles) Oh, a bargain? Very well, Mr. DuWitt, we have a deal.

He releases BUMBLEBEE, and then lunges a huge orb of glowing, red 
energy at WILLY. BUMBLEBEE tries to attack BLOOD, but is unable to harm 
him. 

BUMBLEBEE: (Angrily) Leave him alone! He ain't done nothin' to you!

BLOOD fires an orb at BUMBLEBEE, knocking her unconcious.

BLOOD: Sorry my dear, but Brother Blood always keeps to his promises.

Turning back to WILLY, he finds that he is gone. Smashing a table in 
anger, BLOOD sends a message telepathically to BUCKY and JENNY.

BLOOD: (Snarls) Captain! Your insolent engineer is running loose around 
the city! Tear down every nook and cranny until you find him!

He then notices that BUMBLEBEE has disappeared. Unknown to BLOOD, WILLY 
has sneaked into a side-room on the lower floors of Titans Tower and 
rescued BUMBLEBEE from further harm.

WILLY: (Softly) Bumblebee, are you OK?

She slowly rouses.

BUMBLEBEE: You...saved me?

WILLY: Yeah, but now we have to find out how to take down Blood.

The two feel embarrassed in the position they are both in, and briefly 
seperate. 

BUMBLEBEE: We can't stop him...Blood's holding all the cards.

WILLY: Not quite, Deadeye is still unaffected, and after working on 
machinery all my life, I think I might have a plan.

SCENE EIGHT
Steel City Harbour
BUCKY, JENNY and SPEEDY are walking along the wharf, and eventually 
meet up with AQUALAD, who has discovered the now-empty Croaker.

AQUALAD: There was a third accomplice, but he may have escaped.

BUCKY: We must wait for Mas and Menos before consulting the headmaster.

MAS Y MENOS speed onto the scene and stop.

MAS Y MENOS: (Neutrally) Hay estas huella delantero de Titans Tower. 

SPEEDY: Then Willy and Bumblebee must still be in the harbour.

JENNY: We shall await for the headmaster for further orders.

BROTHER BLOOD arrives and looks at them all.

BLOOD: (Sternly) Well?

SPEEDY: Mas and Menos say they found tracks leading from the Tower to 
the wharf, headmaster. They match the soles of DuWitts' boots.

BLOOD: Then look through the harbour again! This time, look with your 
eyes open!

ALL: (Chant) Yes, headmaster.

As they walk off, BROTHER BLOOD is left alone, when he is suddenly 
attacked by BRUISER, who was hiding atop of a dockside crane.

BRUISER: (Grunts) OK, chrome-dome! Let's see how ya look when I 
erasticate that bronze bonce o' yours! AAEEYYOOGGAAHH!

BROTHER BLOOD and BRUISER begin to fight. When BLOOD tries to recall 
his students, they are suddenly attacked by BLINKY and DEADEYE.

BLINKY: Humble robot feels insulted to attack Captain O' Hare, but 
there is no other alternative.

He extends his arms and legs to confuse MAS Y MENOS, and eventually 
seperates the two, leaving them dangling on the end of his arms.

DEADEYE: Sorry laddies, but this ain't the best of times!

He is pinned to the wall by SPEEDY'S arrows, but SPEEDY is knocked 
aside when JENNY and BLINKY accidentally crash into one another. 
BUMBLEBEE quickly arrives and stops MAS Y MENOS from regrouping.

BRUISER: C'mon, Willy! He's all yours!

WILLY appears from the same dockside crane and slaps a dome-shaped 
piece of machinery on BLOOD'S back. Immediately, electricity fizzes 
from his circuits and the others are released from his hypnosis.

BLOOD: (Distorted) Get...it...off! It's...draining...my...power!

The Titans East, together with the Righteous crew, clamber over him and 
BRUISER ties him up with some chains, just in time for the police to 
arrive.

SCENE NINE
Outside Titans Tower, Steel City, the next day
BUMBLEBEE, SPEEDY, MAS Y MENOS and AQUALAD are seeing WILLY off, while 
JENNY waits nearby in the Croaker.

BUMBLEBEE: Congratulations, Willy. You're the first honorary titan in 
Titans' East.

She hands him a yellow communicator with a white "T" on it. Instead of 
shaking WILLYS' hand, she pecks him on the cheek, much to WILLYS' 
embarrassment.

JENNY: (Thinks) < Felicia won't like this one when I tell her. > 

WILLY: (Blushes) Err, bye Bumblebee. Bye everyone, thanks for 
everything.

He gently waves to them as he climbs into the Croaker, with the imprint 
of the lipstick still on his cheek. 

MAS Y MENOS: Tomar cuidado, tipo titan!

WILLY smiles and looks down at his communicator.
